An Aerial topographic survey is a high-tech mapping exercise that records the natural and man-made features of a piece of land with high accuracy. Using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with cameras and sensors, surveyors measure the position, height, and shape of the ground, buildings, trees, and other objects. This "snapshot" of the land is then converted into digital data, such as 3D models or scaled CAD drawings, to inform planning and design.
