Targeted Roof Leak Detection Survey
The scope of works for this project focused on a critical roof survey drone operation to identify the sources of water ingress affecting the building. A primary challenge was pinpointing specific defect areas across a large commercial roof surface, where subtle membrane failures or issues with plant equipment can be difficult to locate using traditional visual inspections from the ground or walkways
To overcome this, our methodology involved a systematic low-altitude flight to capture high-definition imagery of every roof section. The final solution provided to the client was a comprehensive condition survey report, which successfully highlighted regions requiring immediate repair. This allowed the client to address the leaks swiftly, preventing further internal damage to the facility.
Advanced Photogrammetry for Large-Scale Roofing
For this commercial drone roof survey project, the objective was to conduct a detailed and thorough evaluation of the entire existing roof structure. The main challenge lay in the scale of the site and the need to map the exact location of defects relative to the building's layout for accurate repair planning.
We adopted photogrammetry as our core methodology, capturing overlapping images to generate a high-resolution orthomosaic map of the site. The final solution delivered a precise, scale-accurate visual dataset. This digital twin enabled the facilities management team to visualize the roof's condition in its entirety, ensuring that no potential weak point was overlooked during the maintenance assessment.
Non-Intrusive Commercial Building Inspection
The scope required a complete drone survey to assess the general condition of the roof and identify areas of wear. A significant challenge was conducting this extensive 3-day inspection without disrupting the daily operations of the business or compromising the safety of staff and members below.
Our methodology utilized a non-intrusive drone roof survey approach, allowing us to gather detailed data from a safe distance without the need for ladders or scaffolding. The final solution included a suite of interactive deliverables, including a 3D model and raw imagery, giving the client a permanent, evidence-based record of the asset to support their long-term maintenance strategy.
