Accurate Topographic Survey for Redevelopment
The scope for this project involved carrying out a detailed topographic survey to assist with private redevelopment plans. The primary challenge was covering the extensive sports grounds and construction zones quickly without compromising on data accuracy.
We implemented a drone topographic survey methodology supported by GPS ground control. This approach allowed us to map the terrain rapidly, providing the client with a precise dataset to underpin their design decisions.
High-Resolution Photogrammetry and Imaging
Conducting this survey required capturing subtle elevation changes across the pitches. The challenge was to ensure that aerial data was detailed enough to serve as a reliable basis for engineering work.
By utilizing photogrammetry to process high-definition drone photography, we created a measurable 3D model. This solution gave the client an interactive, real-world view of the site conditions that went beyond standard mapping.
Engineering-Grade CAD Deliverables
The project required transforming raw survey data into clean topographical drawings. A key challenge of this topo survey was extracting specific site features from the dense point cloud for practical use.
The final solution included the delivery of industry-standard 2D CAD drawings. These files provided the essential technical boundaries and footprint data needed for the redevelopment application, ensuring seamless integration with the client's workflow.
